Program Features:

Keeps track of all sanctioned breeds, plus other popular breeds such as Lionhead and Velveteen Lop. Data is segregated by breed.

Simple data entry. For instance, when entering the pedigree of a newly-purchased animal, the program displays a blank pedigree on the screen, and you just fill it in. The computer prompts you to fill in the required information for each entry. For instance, while you are entering the color of the rabbit, the computer provides a list of all ARBA-accepted varieties for that breed.

Data for each animal is only entered once, regardless of how many times that rabbit appears in a pedigree. Our pedigrees show ALL vital data, unlike some other programs. For example, we include ear size on English Lops, and markings on Checkered Giants.

The Register program keeps track of your rabbits, their litters, and their winnings.

You can easily locate any animal in the database, either by its name, ear number, cage number or registration number, which becomes very useful when you have a large number of animals.

View the ancestors of an animal, or its full-siblings and half-siblings. Pick an animal or a buck/doe pairing and view their first generation descendants.

When viewing a pedigree you can display up to 7 generations on the screen at one time, depending upon the capability of your monitor.

The program easily accommodates more than one animal with the same ear number -- there's no need to 'fake' an ear number, as you have to do with other programs.

Register automatically calculates the age class of each of your animals, based on the date of birth and the current date. It does not automatically bump up based on weight, but does allow you to force a bump up when needed.

Register will display your data sorted by name, tattoo, color, age class, and several other choices.

Register prints cage cards/labels, address labels, mailing lists, inventories, breeding certificates, labels for remark cards, and, of course, pedigrees.

Register supports importing and exporting pedigrees - so that all of the paperwork is on disk. The buyer of a rabbit can then read that disk into the program and get a full pedigree with no typing at all!

Taskmaster Chore Scheduling:

Never miss a nestbox again. Keeps track of all breeding-related chores.

Data entry is straightforward and mouse driven. Correcting mistakes and adding new information is easy too.

Displays an on-screen calendar that makes it easy to view your chores. Want to see what chores are coming up on Saturday? Just click on the calendar and your chores for that day are displayed. Click on the print icon and get a printed copy of the breeding tasks and chores for a given day, or for a group of days.

Print each day on a separate sheet, or group days together on a single sheet.

Sort your chores by the date to be performed, the animal’s ear number or by the type of chore.

Genetics Processing:

Automatically fills in known genes (alleles) based on the animal’s color (phenotype).

Performs color prediction based on the A, B, C, D, E, W, and V genes. Also allows you to manually enter the En, Du and Dw genes.

Analyzes the parents and offspring to fill in unknown genes. Each gene displayed on the screen is color- coded to show you whether it came from the sire or dam. The program also color-codes to indicate which genes were determined by examining the offspring and which genes where manually set by the user.

Identifies any genes that appear to be in conflict with the parent’s or the offspring’s genetic makeup.

Allows you to do experimental cross-breedings to see what colors of offspring can be produced by crossing two animals. You can pick from animals in your rabbitry, to see what they can produce, or you can select from a list of over 100 colors, without having to have animals with that phenotype.

You can select a color and the program will rank the animals in your rabbitry as to their likelihood of being able to produce that color.

Genetic makeup can be printed on your pedigrees.

Included with the program is Color Genetics in U.S. Domestic Rabbits, written by Candy Haenszel, a clear and highly readable introduction to rabbit genetics.

You will receive a demonstration version of  the Deluxe Edition software that you can install on your computer.  You may enter all your data into the program but until the registration process is completed, any paperwork that you print will say Unregistered User.  Approximately 7-10 days after you place your order Evans Software will email you a link to their website that will convert your software into a registered copy with your name and address.  If you purchase the Standard Edition of the software, the Deluxe Edition features will go away once the software is registered, but regardless of which edition you purchase, all of your data will remain.
