I always check the genitals on both rabbits before breeding. This way I rule out any possibility of disease, plus I can be sure that the vent area on the doe is red and she is ready to breed.

We use stainless steel c-rings to assemble the cages in our barns. Since they are narrower, the fur and calcium don’t build up as fast on them as they do on j-clips. And we never have to worry about them rusting!
