Subject: Re: Sore Hocks

I've had pretty good success on my older rabbits that developed sore hocks by using these three products together:

1. Hydrogen Peroxide: Gently clean the affected area and allow the hydrogen peroxide to “fizz”… do this three times... gently pat dry after each application.

2. Liberally apply Preparation H... this product has a "numbing" agent in addition to the medicinal properties, which the rabbit appreciates.

3. Apply three coats of "New Skin," a liquid bandaid. This "protects" the treated areas while healing and allows the rabbit comfort for normal sitting, hopping, moving. Re-treat every three days, as the "New Skin" will wear off.
